REQUIREMENTS The B.Ed. programme requires 120 credits. These are obtained by completing a required set of study modules.

4) Learn a foreign language
Learning another language will enable you to grasp the daunting task that faces the students you endeavour to teach. If you already speak more than one language, then you have met this requirement.
You need to indicate the language(s) you speak in your CV (Curriculum Vitae)

5) Teaching Practicum
A minimum of 4 years or 2,000 hours teaching experience is required. Teaching experience can be obtained in a school, institute, university or educational organisation, and may include hours of volunteer and religious teaching. You may acquire or complete the compulsory hours of teaching experience AFTER submitting your application.
Honours: If you complete the above syllabus with a grade point average GPA of 3.5+, you may graduate with honours, CUM LAUDE. Each case is reviewed individually.
MAJORS TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
Languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian, etc.)
MINORS Languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian, etc.)
Provide proof of proficiency, studies and/or experience in usage of language.
TUTORING USAT will assign you a personal tutor upon registration. He/she will give you personalised attention during the entire course. Please keep regular contact with your tutor and keep him/her up-to-date on your progress. This will allow them to know in what areas you need assistance.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS Once you complete the study programme, please send the following documents to the USAT mailing address in CANADA: 1) Application Form (Download) and 3 passport photos
2) Notarised High school diploma, report card, test results or letter from your school certifying that you completed High School or basic secondary education.
3) Notarised TESOL Certificate
4) Notarised ID (personal identification), such as Social Security / Insurance Card or Passport
5) Resume / Curriculum Vitae (indicate which language(s) you speak)
